What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a therapy that speaks to the whole human being, not just the pathology or presenting symptom. Muscle testing is used to provide a bridge between what you know consciously and what your body knows is needed for your innate healing and well-being.

Society has encouraged us to move away from our bodies essential intelligence and look for answers outside of ourselves. Yet every day our bodies renew and replace their own components, processes our food intake as useable fuel, heals a myriad of injuries, and wards off attack from an ever-present army of would-be invaders. The body does all this, and more, without a single conscious thought from us.

This is not to say that the body can heal, adjust and optimise to all situations without our help. Symptoms are the body’s language to alert us to an action required. However, we have long stopped listening to our bodies and in doing so, forgotten how to understand what our bodies are trying to tell us. Kinesiology can help us understand this physical language and facilitate the body’s power to heal and function at optimum capacity.

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a whole-person approach to healthcare, combining traditional healing practices with modern scientific understanding.

Naturopathy elucidates and treats the cause of health issues rather than suppressing symptoms. A holistic approach is used to achieve this, assessing many aspects of a persons life, such as diet, stress, genetics, bowel habits, past and present health conditions, environment, and lifestyle. Techniques may include many different modalities, including iridology, kinesiology, pathology, functional testing, and stool and urine analysis.

The treatment plan aims to support the body’s own healing capacity by removing or reducing any stress or toxic burden, and using diet, herbs, supplements, and lifestyle interventions to support innate healing, health and well-being.

Naturopathy and Kinesiology are complementary practices that work well together; however, either may be chosen as separate therapies.
